How to enable or disable call forwarding on an analog line

Need to forward calls from your analog phone line to another number? Whether you’re heading out of the office or want calls to ring somewhere else temporarily, it’s easy to set up or turn off call forwarding.

Enable call forwarding

  1. Lift the handset of the phone you want to forward.
  2. Dial *72 followed by the number you want calls forwarded to.
    • Example: *72-1-555-123-4567
  3. Wait for the destination number to answer or for a stuttering dial tone.
  4. Hang up.

Disable call forwarding

    1. Lift the handset of the phone that has call forwarding enabled.
    2. Dial *73.
    3. Wait for the stuttering dial tone.
    4. Hang up.
  • Call forwarding should now be active or turned off–depending on what you did. If you're still having trouble, give Simply Bits technical support a call at 520-545-0333.
