Setting up data on your phone
Data lets you browse the web, make HD Voice/VoLTE calls, and send or receive picture messages and group texts. It’s essential to have the correct settings to get started. Follow the steps below to set up your phone for seamless data access.
iPhone data settings
iPhones generally work with data immediately after activation. If you run into any issues, update your carrier bundle:
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap About.
- If a carrier update is available, you’ll see an option to update your Carrier Settings.
- Tap to update.
Android data settings
Android devices require manually configured APN settings. Here’s how to set yours up:
Reset APNs to default
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Mobile (or Cellular) Networks.
- Select Access Point Names.
- Tap the Menu (three dots or “More”).
- Select Reset to Default.
- You are now ready to add your new APN settings!
Older phone?
You may find your APN settings under:
- Settings → Connectivity → Packet Data → APN
- Or Web → Settings → Connection Profiles.

2. Enter the following details, and save before entering the next one:
