Enabling Wi-Fi calling on your Ting account
Before you can start using Wi-Fi calling, it needs to be activated on your Ting phone number. Contact us to enable the feature and set up your E911 address.
Setting up Wi-Fi calling on your iPhone
Once Wi-Fi calling is enabled on your Ting account, follow these steps to activate it on your iPhone:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Phone.
- Select Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle Wi-Fi calling to on.
- When prompted, tap Enable.
- Enter your E911 address and tap Update.
- Look for Ting Wi-Fi in the upper-left corner of your screen to confirm it’s working.
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi calling
If you’re having issues with Wi-Fi calling, here’s how to troubleshoot:
- Ensure your device is up to date: Install the latest iOS update.
- Fix provisioning server errors: If you encounter activation errors, your device name may be the issue. Here's how to update it:
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Select About.
- Tap Name.
- Replace the current name and tap Done.
