Transferring your number out of Ting
We’d love to keep you with Ting, but we understand that sometimes porting your number is necessary. If there’s something we could do better, we’d appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve.
When you’re ready to port out, we’ve made it as simple as possible.
What you’ll need to transfer your number
- Your Ting account number.
- The porting PIN associated with the number you’re transferring.
- The Ting account holder’s name and billing address.
Transfer timeframe
Number transfers usually take between 2 and 24 hours. While you can port your number at any point in your billing cycle, we recommend starting the process at least 48 hours before the end of your cycle if you’re planning to transfer near the end. If a line is active when your cycle renews, a new cycle will begin.
How to find your transfer information
- Sign in to your Ting account.
- Go to Account Settings.
- Scroll down to Port out or cancel Mobile service.
- Select Porting out?
- Your porting details for all lines on your account will appear.
Submitting your number transfer
Once you have all your porting details, initiate the transfer with your new carrier. We automatically approve port-out requests with the correct information—your new carrier will handle the rest.
