Your Ting Mobile payment options
Ting automatically charges your credit card each month for your plan and usage. You’ll add a credit card when setting up your Ting account to cover these recurring charges.
Accepted credit cards
Ting accepts most credit, debit, and some prepaid cards with the following logos:
- American Express
- Discover
- Mastercard
- Visa
The billing address on your account must match the address associated with your card. Cards must be from the US (including APO, FPO, and Puerto Rico) or Canada.
Using a Canadian card
If you’re using a Canadian card, here’s what you need to know:
- Charged in US Dollars: Charges are in USD, and your bank will determine the exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
- Exchange Rate Differences: Refunds may reflect a different exchange rate (higher or lower) than the original charge.
- US Address Required: For tax purposes, you’ll need to provide a US address and phone number in your area. You’ll be prompted for this during activation or number transfer.
Does using a Canadian card mean I can get service in Canada?
Ting’s service is only available in the United States. If you use your Ting phone outside of the US, roaming charges will apply.
Temporary $1 authorization hold
When adding a card to your Ting account, you may see a $1 charge. This is a temporary authorization to validate the card and will disappear within 24-48 hours.
