Checking the status of your number transfer
What to expect when submitting a number transfer with Ting
When you submit a number transfer (also known as a port request), we’ll email you if there are any issues. While most transfers complete within 24 hours, transferring a VoIP or landline number might take a bit longer.
Locating the status of your number transfer
1. Log in to your Ting account
Sign in to your account.
2. Go to Device Settings
Select Device Settings in your dashboard.
3. Click your phone number
Select the number that’s being transferred.
4. Check the transfer status
- If the status shows as Porting, the transfer is still in progress.
- If the status shows as Active, the transfer is complete.
- If the status shows as Requires update, the port needs to be updated.
