What If I Can't Update My Email Before My Account Is Created?
If your DirecTV account is created using an email address you would like to change, don't worry.
Once you receive your DirecTV Welcome Email, you may contact DirecTV Customer Service to update the email address associated with your account.
What Happens if a DirecTV Package is Missing or Lost?
If a DirecTV package is reported as missing or lost please call DirecTV customer service.
The replacement process is free of charge. DirecTV will de-register the missing equipment and issue a replacement. While Call Center representatives cannot complete the replacement request on the resident's behalf, they can guide the resident through the process and answer any questions.
Please note that every DirecTV shipment includes a prepaid return label inside the package. Residents should keep this label in case equipment needs to be returned in the future.
Before Calling DirecTV Customer Service
Please wait until you receive your DirecTV Welcome Email before contacting DirecTV Customer Service.
Your DirecTV account must be created and activated in the system before a representative can access your information or make any account changes. If you call before receiving your Welcome Email, DirecTV representatives will not be able to locate your account or provide assistance.
Once you receive your Welcome Email, you may contact DirecTV Customer Service at:(866) 258-8766
This includes requests to:
- Change the email address associated with your account
- Receive account assistance
- Troubleshoot equipment or service-related issues

For security purposes, residents should sign into their DirecTV account online as soon as possible and change their password after receiving their equipment.
Receiving Your Equipment
DirecTV Gemini Stream boxes and remotes are being shipped to residents in phases.
Please:
- Watch for your package delivery
- Check your doorstep regularly
- Follow the setup instructions included in the package
You will also receive a Welcome Email from DirecTV once your account has been created.

DirecTV Customer Education Event
Residents receiving equipment in phases will receive an invitation to attend a DirecTV Customer Education Event hosted in partnership with Ting Internet and the Laguna Woods Village Recreation Department.
This event includes:
- Hands-on Gemini device demonstrations
- DirecTV presentations
- Live Q&A sessions
- Complimentary refreshments
Invitations will be distributed in phases based on equipment deployment schedules.
