- How soon can I have my Ting service installed at my new home?
There are a number of steps involved in bringing Ting fiber internet to your new home. The exact time frame for service will differ depending on where you live, but the whole process from installation to activation usually takes a couple of weeks. We need to find a path for running fiber from the street to your home, ensure that any utilities on your property are marked and then bury our lines underground. We want to make sure we take the necessary time to do it right, safely and to your satisfaction.
- When should I set up my Ting Internet at my new place?
If your new home has had Ting service in the past, we can schedule the activation of your service any time in advance. You can also call us as soon as you move in, but a bit of a heads up is best for us to ensure that everything is in place and ready to go.
If your new home hasn’t had Ting service before, then we’ll want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible to ensure you have internet running with minimal downtime after you move in. Because we need to do all the outside construction and indoor installation, we’ll want to get started as soon as you have ownership of the property and are able to meet with one of our installers. - What are installation fees?
We have two types of installation. Our standard (and most popular) installation is free. It’s designed for simple installs where we install your fiber modem on the ground level and on one of your perimeter walls. If your install is a little more complicated, not to worry—we’ve got you. Our custom installation is available for $199 + tax.
