- Who can get this free mobile plan?
Ting has partnered with select nonprofit organizations in Memphis to offer free mobile service to members of their communities.
Your school is working in partnership with Community in Schools of Memphis (CISM) to distribute the codes. Ask your CISM specialist.
Eligibility is managed by your school or organization, and not Ting. If you have questions about who qualifies as an eligible student or family member, please reach out to your school.
From a different organization and want to take part in the $0 Unlimited Plan? We’re actively working to bring more partners on board. Contact us at marketing@ting.com.
- Can I add more lines to my account after signing up?
Yes you can. Add up to 5 lines on a single account. Please refer to this help article on how to add additonal lines onto your account.
- What happens after the plan expires at the end of 2025? Or if I move schools?
We’ll reach out in November with your options.
If you’d like to stick with Ting, we’ll offer a low-cost plan with no strings attached — you’re free to switch providers at any time.
- Can I bring my phone and keep my current number?
Yes! If your phone is compatible and unlocked, you’re good to go. When you activate your free plan, you can choose to keep your existing phone number or get a new one.
To keep your number, you’ll need:
- Your current carrier's account number
- Your port-out PIN (ask your carrier if you're not sure how to find it)
