Ting Internet will be participating in the U.S. Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, administered by the Federal Communications Commission in conjunction with the Universal Service Administrative Company.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit is designed to assist traditional Lifeline-eligible customers, any individual reliant on a federal assistance program, or individuals who have experienced a substantial loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The parameters are much wider than they'd be for a traditional program, so we encourage everyone to check if you're eligible.
Once you’ve qualified with the National Verifier, come back to this page and enter a few of the same details here, so we can verify your eligibility and apply the $50 benefit to your account. It’s important that you use the exact same contact details here as you did on your National Verifier application.
Once you’ve successfully completed the National Verifier AND the Ting Internet form above, we’ll work behind the scenes to get you approved on our end. We will email you within three business days to confirm we have successfully applied the Emergency Broadband Benefit to your account.
You will need to place an order before you can be eligible to receive the Emergency Broadband Benefit with Ting Internet. Once our team receives your order and confirms your address is serviceable, we’ll reach out to schedule your installation. We understand that start-up costs can be prohibitive to switching internet providers, so we are making it simple for new customers by offering:
The benefit allows up to a $50 discount on your monthly bill. For accounts under $50, only the amount needed will be applied. For example, if your monthly bill is $20, you will get $20 applied to your account, not $50.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit is a temporary program and does not have a set timespan. All we know for sure is that the federal government approved an initial $3.2 billion to fund the program.
If the program should end, you will be charged the normal retail rate. You can also cancel your account, or downgrade to a lower-priced plan.
Ting is participating in the Emergency Broadband Benefit but you may obtain broadband services from any participating provider of your choosing or switch to another provider at any time.
If you are a new customer, your first bill will be the normal retail price. Your Emergency Broadband Benefit discount will begin on your second month.
You can reach the EBB support team at EBBHelp@usac.org or (833) 511-0311, where representatives will be able to assist you 7 days a week, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.
