How you get internet service from Ting

We work with utilities and cities who have fiber

In Colorado Springs, Ting will be providing gigabit Internet service over fiber infrastructure built by Colorado Springs Utilities. This is an arrangement that leverages Springs Utilities’ experience in building and managing utilities with Ting’s expertise in marketing, and provisioning and servicing fiber Internet customers. It’s the perfect way for Springs Utilities and Ting to do what they’re each best at – and deliver enhanced utility services and a world-class Internet experience for Colorado Springs residents and businesses.

Frequently asked questions

  • How much speed do I need?

That depends on what your household uses the internet for. Here's how much speed you need for common uses, measured in megabits per second (Mbps):

    • Up to 25 Mbps for email, browsing, and casual streaming
    • 25-50 Mbps for video calling, streaming music and HD video
    • 50-100 Mbps for streaming 4K video, home offices, and gaming
    • 200+ Mbps for streaming 4K video on multiple devices, smart home connectivity, and elite-level gaming

Keep in mind that using multiple devices simultaneously means you'll need more bandwidth to keep up. Ting Internet's 1000 Mbps plan is designed to handle 20+ devices seamlessly, even when the whole family is using the internet heavily at the same time.

Ting Internet offers up to 1000 mbps upload and download speed.

  • Is a wired connection faster than wireless?

A wired connection will generally allow for faster maximum speeds than being connected on Wi-Fi due to things like competing wireless signals and the limitations of older devices.

That said, with today’s Wi-Fi technology and the right Wi-Fi system in your home, you can still get more than enough speed for seamless streaming, gaming, and web browsing—without the hassle of plugging anything in.

  • Do you offer fiber for businesses?

Yes! Ting Internet can make scalable, custom-fit solutions for your small or large business.
