Frequently asked questions
- What does it mean to “commit” to Ting Internet?
When you sign the Agreement, you’re pledging to switch to Ting Internet if and when we build in Carolina Trace. Your commitment helps us reach the community goal that makes construction possible.
- Am I signing up for service right away?
Not yet. You’re committing in advance. If the community reaches the required number of commitments, Ting will begin construction. Once service is available, your commitment turns into an active Ting Internet account.
- What happens if the community doesn’t reach the goal?
If the goal isn’t met, Ting won’t be able to build. Your commitment won’t take effect, and you won’t be billed.
- Is there any cost to commit now?
No upfront cost. By signing the agreement, you’re simply committing to become a Ting customer once construction is complete. Regular monthly pricing only starts once you’re connected.
- What if I move after Ting hits the goal?
Your commitment is tied to your address, not just you personally. If you move before service is built at your address, your agreement won’t carry over to your new home.
- If I move out of the community, am I still responsible for the service agreement?
No. If you move out of Carolina Trace after service is installed, you are not held to the agreement. Your obligation ends when you move, and there are no early termination fees related to a change in residency. The new homeowner or resident can choose to continue service if they’d like.
